Where the cost numbers come from

- Typical thickness defaults: Profoam spray foam price sheet (prices valid Aug 1, 2026): "2" avg in walls / 3" avg in roof lines" (closed cell), "3.5" avg in walls / 6" avg in roof lines" (open cell).
These are national published ranges, not local prices. We don't publish local prices until we have real local quotes.
How the estimate works
- Board feet = square feet × thickness (inches). If you leave thickness blank we use typical averages: open cell 3.5" walls / 6" roofline, closed cell 2" walls / 3" roofline.
- Board-foot range = board feet × published installed price per board foot (Angi 2026).
- Cross-check = square feet × published installed price per square foot (HomeGuide 2026).
- Small jobs: many companies charge a $1,000–$2,000+ minimum (HomeGuide).
