Insulation installed in Illinois after December 31, 2025 does not qualify for the federal Energy Efficient Home Improvement Credit. IRS.
Illinois Home Energy Rebate program
Not yet launched Home Energy Rebate Programs
Electrification/appliance rebates (HEAR): "At this time, the Illinois EPA's IRA Section 50122 Home Electrification and Appliance Rebate Program, or HEAR Rebate Program, application has not yet been processed by USDOE or provided to Illinois EPA for administration or distribution."
Whole-home efficiency rebates (HOMES/HER): "The Agency partnership intends to launch a pilot of the Illinois HOMES Rebate Program with two Local Administering Agencies, once all necessary approvals have been received from the U.S. Department of Energy (USDOE). The program launch is pending USDOE approval."
